Empire East renews promise to deliver quality, affordable homes
QUEZON CITY---Empire East President Atty. Anthony Charlemagne C. Yu assured the company remains dedicated to deliver quality yet affordable homes to every Filipino family during its Annual Stockholders' Meeting last June 13 at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel.
This strong statement came as the company is set to complete and turn over the first tower of Pioneer Woodlands in Mandaluyong City and Little Baguio Terraces in San Juan City, two of its transit-oriented developments (TODs), to its owners this year.
Yu added that construction on its remaining projects---San Lorenzo Place, The Rochester and Kasara---are all in full swing to make sure on time delivery of units. The recent board approval on the issuance of pre-emptive rights to its shareholders, according to him, is expected to generate additional funds to cover construction costs on these projects.
Empire East, Yu continued, will remain focus on the mid-income market where housing demand is great. Horizontal building will continue in CALABARZON area particularly in developing the 50 hectare The Sonoma project in Sta. Rosa Laguna while vertical homes continue to be its core projects in Metro Manila.
He also disclosed that among the future plans of the company include entering into more joint ventures for its expansion efforts in the next five to 10 years and the possibility of having a pro-environment LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) project in the future.
“We don't forget our obligation to mother nature. Right now, our TODs speak of our pledge to provide Filipinos with decent shelters and protect the environment,” he explained.
Empire East boasts of a diversified portfolio that includes TODs, horizontal and vertical developments in prime areas and its first-ever urban resort project, with easy payment terms that every Filipino could afford.
For 2011, the company registered a net income of P186.2 million, a strong indication that the company is enjoying consumer trust and confidence.
