A new year calls for fresh beginnings, and at Empire East, that means celebrating traditions that bring luck, unity, and inspiration in the Year of the Horse—values that resonate across the communities it builds and nurtures.

February 18, 2026, Mandaluyong City––To commemorate the occasion, property developer Empire East held Ride and Stride,” a Lunar New Year celebration and Open House, welcoming homebuyers, salespeople, and employees. The celebration kicked off with President and CEO Atty. Anthony Charlemagne C. Yu leading the dotting of the eye, a traditional Chinese ritual that awakens the lion and dragon figures, allowing them to “see,” ward off negativity, and bring blessings of good fortune, prosperity, and safety for the year ahead. The ritual symbolized not only a hopeful start for the organization, but also for the homeowners and future residents who continue to place their trust in Empire East’s developments.

Following the ritual, everyone gathered to witness the vibrant Dragon and Lion dance. The Empire East corporate office came alive with the rhythmic beat of drums, clashing cymbals, and cheerful cheers, setting the tone for a year filled with energy, optimism, and renewed commitment to delivering thoughtfully designed communities.

Adding to the excitement, the lion and dragon went around the office to collect Ang Pao—red envelopes containing money—symbolizing the sharing of luck, prosperity, and good fortune for the year ahead. The gesture reflected the spirit of generosity and abundance that Empire East hopes to carry into its projects and partnerships throughout 2026.

After the performance, attendees joined TenTalks: “Unlock your Luck or Stay Stuck: Your Space. Your Habits. Your Energy” led by Master Hanz Cua, a well-known Feng Shui expert. He shared insights on navigating the Year of the Horse with balance and intention—guidance that encourages both individuals and businesses to move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

The celebration continued with a festive booth area, where participants enjoyed activities such as charm bracelet-making, lantern painting, lucky charm keychains, and scratch cards with prizes, along with a wishing tree where hopes for the year were shared. Chinese zodiac banners highlighting the Year of the Horse also gave everyone the opportunity to reflect on their fortunes for 2026.

More than a celebration, “Ride and Stride” reinforced Empire East’s commitment to building not just developments, but thriving communities—where employees feel inspired to create, and homeowners feel proud to belong.
