On October 30 2025, The Paddington Place turned into a thrilling and joyful playground of laughter and treats as Empire East hosted its special Halloween Treat Celebration again, after eight years of hiatus. The event brought together employees and their little ones for a day filled with dress-ups, candies, and collective joy. Beyond the fun and festivities, the celebration reflected Empire East's enduring commitment to nurturing a family-oriented culture that values both its people and the moments that strengthen bonds within the empire east community.
After registration, kids and parents set off on their little adventures, going from one booth to another, exploring everything from Roblox-inspired games to superhero corners and playful Halloween thrills. To officially open the celebration, Atty. Anthony Charlemagne Yu, President and CEO of Empire East, welcomed everyone with a heartfelt message that reflected the company’s culture. “We’ve always believed that Empire East is more than a company, it’s a family,” he shared. “Today, we open our doors not just to our employees, but to their loved ones as well, because every shared moment deepens the bonds that make our community stronger.” The opening message was followed by the hosts giving an overview of the program and the lineup of activities.
To start off, the much anticipated costume parade brought excitement to everyone in attendance. Creativity truly stood out within the Empire East community, not just in its developments, but in how it celebrates occasions like Halloween. The children came dressed as princesses, anime characters, video game characters, and spooky creatures, proudly showcasing their personalities and imagination. The parents, equally enthusiastic, joined in the fun, proving that Halloween is not just for the young but also for the young at heart alike. Adding to the festive spirit, employees dressed up as characters that brought their department’s theme to life.
Each department had its own designated theme, which they incorporated into their costumes and decorations. In line with the company’s commitment to sustainability, teams were highly encouraged to use upcycled or eco-friendly materials in their designs and costumes, keeping the cost minimal, while allowing the employees to think of more ingenious ways to join in the fun. Each department brought their visions to life with unique Halloween themes that transformed their workspaces into a festive spectacle.
The Marketing department presented the “Multiverse of Madness” featuring shattered glass effects made from foil-covered folder cutouts and a giant cephalopod sculpture crafted from recycled papier-mâché materials. The Credit and Collection team went all out with “Monsters and Zombies” inspired by the popular Korean horror film Train to Busan, using upcycled materials such as cardboard boxes and other eerily creative decorations. The Finance department showcased “Fantasy” building their very own Hogwarts out of intricately designed cardboard boxes. The Legal department embodied “Superheroes,” by designing their area with colorful backdrops that resembled buildings, complete with superheroes displayed on the walls for a playful vibe.
On the other hand, the Management Information System department created a “Spooky Scene” that resembled an investigation scene using repurposed cardboard boxes. The Property Development team took inspiration from Netflix's hit series Wednesday with their “Halloween Netflix” theme, featuring recycled materials for their setup. The Property Construction department celebrated the event with a “Disney Animation” theme, decorating their area with beloved characters loved by both children and the young at heart. Adding to the excitement, the Audit Management department embraced “Day of the Dead” by decorating their area inspired by the film Coco. And last but definitely not the least, the Documents Management department paid tribute to “Filipino Folklore" through imaginative designs that brought to life iconic creatures from local legends.
Each department delighted the young trick-or-treaters with a variety of goodies—from candies and ice creams to donuts, nachos, and toys—making the day an unforgettable adventure as employees and their children explored the creative and fun-filled Halloween displays across the office.
After the trick or treat activity, participants gathered once more in the retail area for the continuation of the festivities, where laughter, shared stories, and photo opportunities captured a truly memorable celebration. The kids enjoyed playing various games prepared by the employees. From ring toss and dart board challenges to basketball shootouts, each win came with exciting prizes for the kids. To keep everyone energized, kids and parents also claimed their snacks using their food stubs. The Halloween celebration served as a reminder that at Empire East, every event celebrates not just fun, but family, community and the bonds that make every moment worth cherishing.
