Access to proper sanitation is a basic yet essential part of a child’s learning environment. For many students, clean and functional facilities can make a meaningful difference in their comfort, health, and ability to focus in school. With this in mind, property developer Empire East, as part of its ongoing commitment to community development, donated water closets to Ganado Elementary School.

For students, a school is more than just a place for learning—it is where they spend much of their day growing, interacting, and building habits that shape their future. Access to clean and well-maintained facilities is part of this experience. When these needs are met, students are better able to focus on their lessons, take part in daily activities with ease, and move through their school day with greater comfort.

Under Empire East Cares, the TOYLET initiative led by Chief Finance Officer Mr. Lino P. Victorioso, Jr., the Finance Department employee volunteers donated water closets to Ganado Elementary School in Biñan, Laguna. The initiative supports the well-being of learners by improving access to proper sanitation facilities and helping create healthier, more comfortable spaces for their daily activities. Through this effort, learners are encouraged to practice good sanitation habits—an important step in helping prevent common health concerns such as urinary tract infections (UTIs). By combining improved facilities with awareness, the initiative supports not only the students’ comfort, but their overall well-being in school.

With this, Empire East continues to support efforts that improve everyday school conditions, reinforcing the value of small but meaningful improvements that contribute to a better learning environment.
